Connection Changes Lives
Conductive Connections is a Sarasota-based nonprofit that brings people,
organizations, and ideas together to create inclusive community experiences through
behavioral science, arts, music, wellness, education, and meaningful partnerships.
We create opportunities for neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals to build
relationships, strengthen independence, express their talents, and participate more fully
in community life.
Everyone Deserves a Place to Belong
We create inclusive environments where people of diverse abilities build
confidence, connection, independence, and belonging.
We do not force connections. We foster them.
What Connection Looks Like

π¨ Arts & Creativity
Expressing ideas, building confidence, and discovering new talents.

π€ Community Experiences
Building friendships and creating a true sense of belonging.

π± Wellness & Sustainable Living
Cooking, gardening, movement, and healthy living skills.

π΅ Music & Performance
Creating joy, self-expression, and shared experiences.
A Compassionate, Constructional, and Assent-Based Approach
Conductive Connections is grounded in evidence-based behavioral science and
inspired by the Constructional Approach developed by behavioral scientist Dr. Israel
Goldiamond.
Instead of focusing primarily on deficits or trying to eliminate behavior, we focus on what
people need to build: useful skills, meaningful relationships, greater choice, confidence,
independence, and access to community life.
Our programs are assent-based. Participation is built around respect, choice,
collaboration, and ongoing willingness. People are encouraged to communicate
preferences, participate at their own pace, and step back when needed.
Building on the work of B. F. Skinner, we use reinforcement and supportive
environmental design to make participation meaningful and worthwhile. We aim to
reduce reliance on pressure, forced compliance, or coercive practices.
We do not try to make people fit into rigid environments. We help create
environments where people can flourish.
Guiding Principles
Build strengths
We focus on expanding useful skills, choices, and opportunities.
Reinforce participation
We create experiences in which engagement, contribution, and connection lead to
naturally valuable outcomes.
Support independence
Programs are designed to help people use skills beyond the event or workshop.
Create with people
Participants are contributors, not passive recipients.

health professionals, families, and community leaders to create opportunities that no
single organization could build alone.
We connect strengths, resources, people, and ideas to create greater community
impact.
